Open Call
Navarra Film Industry is working with the industry department of the Curtas Vila do Conde festival to foster opportunities between the festival and the audiovisual sector in Navarra, continuing NFI’s strategy of supporting internationalization. On this occasion, Navarra Film Industry is launching an open call for production companies from Navarra with the aim of selecting one Navarrese project that will receive the following benefits:
- Inclusion in the In Development section, where projects in the early stages of development are presented to international producers, programmers, sales agents, and distributors. In addition, representatives of these projects will have a personalized schedule of meetings with industry professionals. The best project will receive an award from an independent jury.
- A pitching workshop led by Vim Vanaker.
- Accreditation and travel and accommodation expenses for three nights for the project’s producer and director.
- Communication support from Navarra Film Industry.
Requirements and obligations of the call:
- The submitted project must have majority production from Navarra.
- The project must be in development or at the beginning of the pre-production phase.
- A project of up to 60 minutes: animation, fiction, documentary, or experimental.
- Commitment to attend in person by both the producer and director in Vila do Conde (Portugal) for three days around July 20–21, 2026.
- Justification of the project’s international co-production potential, as the aim of this activity is to promote co-production opportunities between countries.
- High level of English – public presentation and meetings will be conducted exclusively in English.
