• SYNOPSIS The story goes that the Moriche Ruiz family recovered the house that was stolen from them by the first Francoist mayor in 1936, in Castellar de la Frontera, Cádiz. After the death of Ana Ruiz Moya, they discovered that the house at Calle Corralete, 9, had been in her name since 1919, but she never said anything. The younger generation of the family managed to recover the house and, with it, part of their family history and collective memory. The house, a silent witness to history, reveals its own past through archive images that are projected onto it, shedding light on the memory. It puts on the table the despoilment and economic repression of Franco's regime, with its different strategies and effects, which continue to this day.
