Romanesque Church of Santa María La Real Sangüesa

    The Church of Santa María la Real is one of the most important Romanesque temples in Navarra and one of the main monuments of Sangüesa. The building is especially known for its impressive Romanesque portal, richly decorated with sculptures and reliefs depicting biblical scenes and symbolic figures. The church features solid stone architecture and a monumental structure reflecting the historical importance of the town along the Camino de Santiago. Inside, large naves and artistic elements from different periods can be found.
