The next edition of Sunny Side of the Doc, an international documentary market that brings together producers, distributors, television channels, and key industry players, will take place from June 23 to 26 of 2025, in La Rochelle, France. This upcoming edition will feature over 300 key players, 70 industry sessions, 1,000 companies, and 2,000 attendees.
Navarra Film Industry will once again be present with the Euroregion NAEN stand, shared with Basque Country and Nouvelle-Aquitaine. This participation is part of their collaborative framework and aims to foster opportunities and co-productions among them.
Mentorship Program
Navarra Film Industry has organized, for the first time, a mentorship program specifically designed by Sunny Side of the Doc for production companies from Navarra. The five projects selected for this mentorship are: The Blossoming by 601 producciones, Siete entierros by Haruru Filmak, Before you, my Shadow by Ataria Films, Eskuaren mintzoa by Labrit Multimedia and La función inacabada del circo Anastasini by Sagone Films.
The selected productions received 30-minute personalized mentorship sessions with industry professionals, tailored to each project’s needs. These sessions are meant to help them identify key players, design a networking strategy, and optimize their market participation. Furthermore, all five projects will be included in the Sunny Side of the Doc Video Library, accessible to all accredited attendees at the market.
Navarra International Plan Call for companies
Navarra Film Industry has collaborated with the Navarra International Plan, a tool from the Government of Navarra, to boost the visibility of the region’s audiovisual sector in such a globally relevant market, by funding promotional materials, various training sessions, and market accreditations.
The production companies attending Sunny Side of The Doc 2025 are: 601 Producciones with The Blossoming (Loraldia); Haruru Filmak with Siete Entierros; Labrit Multimedia with Eskuaren Mintzoa; La Cachipera Producciones with the feature documentary Asere hop: última llamada al rap cubano; San Filmín with the documentary fiction feature Concurso de rock; and Simetría Producciones with the feature documentary Todos lo sabían.
