In this adaptation of the Novel by Thomas Mann, the avant-garde composer Gustav von Aschenbach travels to a Venetian spa to find rest after a time of artistic and personal stress. However, he doesn’t find peace as he is attracted to an adolescent called Tadizio who is on holiday with his family.
