Asere Hop: Última llamada al rap cubano es un largometraje documental que visibiliza la cultura hip hop en Cuba desde una mirada íntima y comprometida. A través de Elephanto, un joven rapero en la encrucijada entre quedarse y resistir o emigrar para poder crear, el film retrata a una comunidad creativa que lucha contra la censura y la precariedad. La historia se entrelaza con las voces de otros referentes del hip hop cubano dentro y fuera del país, explorando temas como la migración forzada y el arte como forma de denuncia e identidad. Con una potente propuesta visual, la película mezcla música original, entrevistas, archivo y motion graphics inspirados en el graffiti, creando una estética urbana y artesanal. La narrativa se estructura en torno a una metáfora poética: una aerolínea ficticia llamada Asere Hop, símbolo del deseo de partir hacia un futuro mejor. Dirigida por Sheila M Berrio, cineasta con fuerte vínculo con Cuba, la obra apuesta por una narrativa directa y humana, con vocación transmedia e internacional.
